Mt. Titlis with Ice Flyer

Titlis is a mountain of the Uri Alps, located on the border between the cantons of Obwalden and Bern. At 3,238 metres above sea level, it is the highest summit of the range north of the Susten Pass, between the Bernese Oberland and Central Switzerland.

Summer & winter adventures

There’s lots of fun to be had on the mountain in winter. As if skiing and snowboarding over an altitude of 2,000 metres isn’t enough, we offer snow-sure conditions from October to May, snowshoe trails, cross-country ski runs, a toboggan run and winter walking trails. In summer, there’s a host of other activities to enjoy such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing, rowing on Trübsee lake, scootering and the TITLIS Adventure Park.

You can look forward to a wide range of culinary delicacies when you visit our mountain restaurants, which include the TITLIS Panorama Restaurant, Stand ski hut, Trübsee sun terrace, pizza & pasta at Lago Torbido and après-ski at the Chalet. You can also book overnight accommodation at one of our establishments: Hotel Terrace, Trübsee Alpine Lodge or the TITLIS Resort.

Jaw-dropping views into a fascinating glacier world

Be sure to cast your eyes down into the impressive glacier world below. The Ice Flyer chair lift sweeps you smoothly and safely over crisp, virgin snow fields and icy depths. Some of the crevasses are up to twenty metres deep. Only here on TITLIS can you expect such a fantastic glacier experience.

In the summer months, the Ice Flyer will fly you and your snow-loving friends from the mountain station to the TITLIS glacier park. And in winter, the chair lift will take you all the way up to the fantastic ski slopes on the summit.

Where to find us

By car

Follow the A2 and take the Stans Süd exit before continuing along the main road to Engelberg. You can park your car in the car park at the TITLIS valley station. Parking costs CHF 5 per day.

By train

Travel directly from Lucerne to Engelberg on the “Zentralbahn” railway. The journey from Lucerne takes around 45 minutes. The route from Engelberg train station to the TITLIS valley station takes just ten minutes on foot or you can hop on the free shuttle bus.

Up the mountain

The 8-seater TITLIS Xpress cable car will transport you all the way up from Engelberg to Stand station. You can hop on or off at Trübsee middle station. The TITLIS ROTAIR cable car will then take you on the final leg of the ascent from Stand to the summit station at 3,020 metres above sea level. The journey from Engelberg to TITLIS mountain station takes around 30 minutes.
